Clarity: 2020 Vision

I can’t help but be excited this time of year, particularly this year. Today, we honor Winter Solstice- the darkest day of the year- which by it’s very nature, brings HOPE with the returning of the light.  December 26th is the New Moon, the start of a new lunar cycle and another symbol of new beginnings.  Then, the 31st is New Year’s Eve, our cultural celebration of “out with the old and in with the new”.

The end of this year feels even more momentous as we stand on the cusp of a new decade.  It’s the perfect time to ask three questions that can clarify how to bring more love and light into our lives if we sense that it’s time for a change.  Of course, these questions can be asked any time we feel we’re going through a personal metamorphosis.

  1. What do I want to bring with me?
  2. What am I ready to release?
  3. What needs to transform in some way to move forward with me?

By pausing to reflect on the three questions, we can illuminate our hopes, dreams, desires, and goals.  These, in turn, light our path forward.

“It’s up to you.  Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.”

What If You Knew It Was Possible?

We have a better chance at bringing wanted change into our lives when we invest our entire being in the process- Soul, Body, Heart, and Mind.  By bringing these four into balance, the Will is empowered to act in alignment with the highest good.

The Soul’s Role:  Dream It

“It” may start out as a feeling of restlessness, a dream, desire, goal, or new idea.  These are the messengers calling to your soul.  You begin to sense that change is wanted or needed.  Here’s where ANYTHING is possible.  Aim high.  Dream as big as you can.  Why not?!  As Les Brown said (he’s fast becoming one of my favorite people to quote),

“Shoot for the moon.  Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.”

What is your dream as you approach the new decade?

The Body’s Role:  Feel it

Step into your dream, goal, or desire and really feel it.  Feel what it would be like to have it manifest.  Let it come alive in your imagination, involving as many of your senses as you can.  Take time to experience this sensual process fully.

The Heart’s Role:  Believe It

This dream, desire, or goal wouldn’t be calling to you if it wasn’t possible to achieve in some way or other.  Believe in it!  Don’t let your mind interrupt with fears, judgments, or criticisms.  It will get its turn with the next step of the process.  Tell it to be patient and sit tight.  For now, believe that anything is possible and trust that you will find a way forward- no matter how big or small the dream.

The Mind’s Role:  Think It

Only let the Mind have a turn after the Heart truly believes the dream is possible.    Instead of worrying you with all the ways this won’t work out and paralyzing you with fear and discouragement, the Mind can be put to work.  Ask it, “What small step can I take today to get me a little closer to the life I want?”

The mind is great at logical, analytical stuff.  It’s not a leader when it comes to manifestation because it’s too bogged down by the past, stuck in “what ifs”, and fearful of anything new.  It wants to keep us safe but sometimes that’s just a kind way to say “stuck”.  Don’t get me wrong, the Mind isn’t all bad.   It’s a wonderful trusty sidekick.  Let it figure out “how” to make the goal or dream happen.  Let it plan, research, find support, and give you the information you need to take one small step forward.

The Will’s Role:  Act on It

If your Soul, Body, Heart, and Mind are unified behind your goal or desire, you now have the clarity to manifest it.  The Willpower has the ability to show up fully and commit to the dream.  It rolls up its sleeves and acts.  It’s ready and able to take the next step.

“I want to see what happens if I don’t give up.”

What If I Don’t Have Clarity?

There are always inner and outer messages coming in through dreams, gut feelings, synchronicity, symbols, and repeated messages that have us say “I just heard that in a song” or “We were just talking about that!”.

Sometimes, though, clarity feels out of reach for many reasons.  The most common, according to my Creatively Fit Coaching clients are “I’m stuck; I can’t change this.”, “I’m so overwhelmed with everything going on that it takes all my energy just to get through the day!, “I don’t know what I want.”, and “Where would I even begin?”.

Whether locally in-person or online from anywhere in the world, my clients get clarity through my carefully planned sessions that deepen the relationship with their inner wisdom.  They experience mindful practices and creative experiences to get out of their headspace and into their hearts and hands.  This relaxing and fun process is expansive and illuminating.  It’s amazing how much more we KNOW when we get out of our heads!  A brief phone consultation will determine if this process is a good fit with where you are in your journey.

And finally….

What if everything you are going through is preparing you for what you asked for?

May we each approach 2020 with the clarity of 20/20 vision to live heart-centered, intuitive-led lives full of love, joy, and well-being.

Wishing you a happy Winter Solstice and a magical new decade full of wonderful possibilities!
